Hello, friends. I'd like to welcome you to my brand new course, The Creative Guitarist: "How to Write More Expressive, Emotional, and Melodic Lead Guitar Solos."

The Creative Guitarist, Module 1

In Module 1, we'll be covering the "Incubate" phase. That's all about taking your ideas and processing them before you even touch the guitar so that you'll be ready when it's time to pick up the instrument.

We'll be talking about how to use backing tracks, understanding how to process them mentally and memorize those. I'll be showing you how to incubate them so that you will be ready and prepared to write your own creative guitar solos.

We'll talk about the importance of taking breaks and not getting stressed out when you feel like you're stuck in a creative rut.

I'll also take you behind-the-scenes and show you my very own process of how I incubate my own solos.

For your convenience, a sample of each Module in The Creative Guitarist Masterclass will be placed below each section of this blog post. The first several lessons of Module 1 are free to preview.

In Module 1: Incubate, I'll show you how to approach writing your very own creative guitar solos with the use of backing tracks, online tools, and a look at my own approach to incubating my ideas.

I'll be offering several of my own solos for you to study, as well as show you how I break them down so that you can better understand the process of how to write your own creative and expressive solos.

We'll also be covering the subject of Phrasing, a very popular topic among guitarists—and one very few know how to execute properly. I'll show you the inside scoop on how to phrase on your instrument and how to think like your own Guitar Heroes.

Then we'll dive deep into how to learn solos and how to process and break them down so that you can get some great ideas for your very own creative solos. You'll then learn how to use those ideas in your own work.

Module 2: Solo Studies

In Module 2: Solo Studies, you'll learn how to study and analyze guitar solos from your favorite guitar heroes. I'll also offer some of my own guitar solos that you can study and glean ideas from.
